At Legacy we know that part of leaving a legacy requires community collaboration, skill building, and knowledge sharing. We are dedicated to providing opportunities to students and families in our community to learn from local experts. Several times throughout the year we partner with various individuals and organizations to provide quality education and information at low to no cost. College Prep 101 – Parent Edition


Join us for an informative and empowering workshop designed to help parents and their students confidently navigate the college decision-making process. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed decisions about your child's future.


Who Should Attend: Parents of 8th graders through rising seniors who want to feel well-informed and confident about planning, funding, and deciding on the right continued education path for their child.

Join us for an informative and interactive workshop on "How Money Works" presented by McCoy Credit Union and Hi-Lite!

In this FREE 90-minute workshop, you'll learn:

How basic checking and savings accounts work

The ins and outs of credit cards, loans, and interest

The importance of building and protecting your credit

How to create budgets for your wants, needs, and savings

Understanding the total cost of ownership for big purchases like cars and homes


Land the Interview - A Resume Writing Workshop for Teens


In today’s world, a well-crafted resume is essential for standing out and making a strong first impression. Legacy Academy's Resume Writing Workshop is designed to empower teens to present their unique skills, strengths, and experiences with clarity and confidence.

In this interactive, hands-on workshop, teens will learn how to create resumes that showcase their accomplishments and goals, even with limited experience. Local professionals will guide each participant through the essentials of resume structure, powerful language, and the art of crafting personal narratives. Teens will learn how to highlight their achievements, extracurriculars, and volunteer work to reflect their individuality and potential.

By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a polished resume that reflects who they are and where they’re headed—setting them up for success in future job and internship applications, scholarship pursuits, and beyond.
