Legacy Events for Education is a 501c3 non-profit public charity. Our mission is to inspire students, teachers and communities to leave their legacy on the world. We believe it is important to encourage involvement and making a difference in our local communities.
Since our inception, Legacy has delivered over $120,000 in scholarships and grants to local graduates and their schools. We fund these efforts though the production of community fundraising events like the Central Florida Chili Cookoff, generous sponsorships from local businesses and individual donations from the local community.
Our programs include the Leave a Legacy and Teacher Nominated scholarships and our Legacy Leaders Academy.
Our scholarship programs recognize students for exceptional community volunteerism both on and off campus, awarded to students who have performed hundreds of volunteer hours during high school. Our Legacy Academy includes classes like College Prep 101 - Parent Edition and Finance for the Future are presented in partnership with local coaches, tutors and financial institutions and are presented to both parents and students.
None of these programs would be possible without the hard work of our volunteers and our generous donors. Legacy firmly believes that it’s not what you take from the world, its what you leave behind!
